Andy Dote got his start in 1985 beginning with a few handmade greeting card designs. Less than a year later some of those original designs were being printed and sold in stores across the U.S. In 1990 Andy Dote appeared on the cover of the Hiragana Times Magazine in Tokyo, Japan. During the early 90's Andy progressed into a full-length, weekly cartoon strip that appeared in several local publications. A book of 72 cartoons was ultimately published in 1993 and a few other products and publications followed.

Today there are over 200 Andy Dote cartoons coming to life online with themes of love and romance, kids and pets, the ups and downs of every day life. And he's still a man of few words. So, whether he is drawing, dreaming, skating or skiing, fishing, or flying a kite, you can bet Andy Dote will make the best of it and give us all a smile in the end.
